Here were are at the end of the year!  It’s time to start thinking about your 2017 planner!  If you’re ready to make 2017 your best year yet, then The Organized Planner is for you.

The Organized Planner

Being a working mom is challenging.   You’re running the kids to and from school, taking them to soccer practice, taking them to doctors appointments, etc., the list could go on and on.  Then on the home front, you’re trying to keep your house organized from pickup toys to making sure it stays clean, you’re trying to figure out what’s for dinner, and in the mix of all that there’s the never ending task of laundry, everyone’s favorite :)! Then there’s you, where you have to make sure you get to your personal doctor appointments and hair appointments.  That’s the personal side of life.

Then have your work side of life. From making sure you get to work on time, to follow-ups to presentations to meetings, there’s always something.  Your career is important too and you’re trying to advance in the workplace.

There’s a lot of ‘To Do’s’ personally & professionally.  Aside from the to do’s, you’re trying to make sure you spend enough quality time with your spouse and kids. It all can be overwhelming at times and it feels like your buried but it doesn’t have to be that way.

After returning to work with our second child is when the balancing act became more of a struggle. There are many planners out there but there wasn’t anything that could balance home and work life.   Daily planners work great for getting tasks done that day but don’t allow you to see and plan out the entire week.   Weekly planners have a master ‘To Do’ list where everything goes, the problem with this is personal lists are mixed with work lists and makes it a challenge to organize.  You’re less productive when you go through your list because your mind is shifting gears.

Finding a planner size is also another challenge. Either they are too big and weigh down your handbag or they are too small where you can barely fit any words on a page.

All of these problem areas were the foundation of The Organized Planner and how it was developed.

When creating this planner, there was this vision to be able to have a productive and successful week while keeping checklists organized.  When goals are written, they’re real. It’s a commitment you made to yourself and writing them down holds you accountable. When you look at them everyday you’re reminded of what you set out to achieve. If they are out of sight, they are out of mind.

Monthly Spread

Keeping checklists organized by category makes it easier to complete because you’re able to stay focused on that list. Your brain organizes tasks in a certain fashion and you don’t even realize it. Using a master To Do list whether it was daily or weekly in the past slowed down productivity because when it was time to knock out that list, items were skipped over because it was either working hours or vice versa. More time was spent trying to figure out when that item could be checked off because it had gotten skipped.

Weekly Layout

Having a sleek, modern planner is important because you want to have something you love to look at.   It should easily fit in your handbag without weighing it down. Carrying around your planner should make you proud. The design should be simple but effective and functional. You should be able to get organized, save time, and motivate you to get your lists completed and accomplish your goals.

A working mom should be able to have a beautiful home life and a successful career. The Organized Planner will help you balance your personal and professional life.
