Smartphones, Tablets, and Computers. We live off of these devices today and it’s not likely changing anytime soon. If you’re like our household, you’ve got a few smartphones, a few tablets, and maybe one or two computers. It’s a lot to keep track of and searching endlessly for your cell phone at times feels like you’re losing your mind.
There have been waayyy too many times I haven’t been able to find my phone. The worst has been when it’s been on silent, that’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It usually consists of searching the entire house, moving things around to see if it’s wedged between couch cushions or hiding underneath a magazine. Before you know it, the organized house is now unorganized and we are spending more time re-organizing it.
It’s time to stop the madness as Mr. Wonderful would say! 🙂 Ready to stop wondering where you’re devices are? Good. The best way to do this is by using a charging station. There are many different styles out there, Amazon has a plethora of them. Having gone through two different charging stations before finding the one we have now, there are a few tips to offer when choosing one.
- Take inventory of all the devices you currently have. If you plan to add more soon, factor those in as well.
- If any of your devices have cases on them, measure the best you can the device with the case on. You don’t want to have to take off the case every time you charge it. It will become tedious and time consuming.
- Be careful of the charging stations that have dividers between them. Some smartphones like the iPhone + models are large and might not fit into the desired slot. Try searching for a charging station that doesn’t have dividers.
- Figure out where you plan to keep the charging station. Whether it’s in your kitchen or office, make sure you have room for it.
- Consider the color you get. You’ll be looking at this thing everyday, you want to like it. You also want it to match the area where it goes so it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.
Once you’ve got the the station set-up and established, now it when it really comes into use. Keep their devices there at all times if they are not in use. You will always know where they are at and avoid multiple searches. When you get home, take it out of your handbag and keep it there. At night, keep them there. Having the cords in there will also eliminate the search for any cords you can’t find because they will always be in the same place. 🙂
Take the time to invest in a charging station that has what you need. You’ll be more organized with a dedicated station and happy knowing where your devices are.
How do you keep your devices organized? Do you use a charging station?
